Yummy Apple Almond Cake/Pie/Bars
1/2 cup butter, softened
2/3 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 t. Vanilla
1 1/4 cup flour
1 t. Baking powder

our apples
1 can almond filling




Preheat oven at 350 F.

Slice and core with Ludwig slicer corer
Spritz apples lightly with lemon
Butter and flour a baking or pie pan
Beat butter and sugar until pale
Add eggs one at a time, beating until well blended
Beat in vanilla, flour and baking powder
Spread dough in bake form
Add apple slices round side up, in an attractive pattern
Slather the almond filling over apple slices
You may want to use half to all the almond filling
Bake 30 minutes or until cake has color and is spongy to the touch
Cool on wire rack. Slice.
