Pear Torte
6 T soft butter
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup flour
1 t. baking powder
1 t. vanilla
1/2 cup milk
2-3 ripe pears



Preheat oven at 350 F.
Butter a wide pie or cake form.
Beat butter and sugar until pale.
Add eggs and whip more.
Add flour, baking powder, vanilla, milk, and blend.
Spread dough in buttered form.
If the skin on the pears is thin is not necessary to peel pears.
Slice and core pears with Ludwig Apple Slicer Corer.
Lay pear slices either skin side up or on their side, in interesting design on top of dough
Bake in oven for 30-35 minutes.
Serve warm or cool.
